Who doesn’t want monogram napkins? They are great for entertaining and make wonderful hostess gifts. The fun part is you can customize your own design and make it with printable fabric sheets. I love chevron and have always wanted chevron monogram napkins so I figured this was the time to do it. If you like the chevron template, I’ve shared my design. I hope you guys give this project a try and please let me know if you have any questions…Happy Crafting Everyone!

Materials needed

1. Photo Fabric by Blumenthal Craft {Cotton Twill}

2. Scissors {optional}

3. Fray Check {optional}

4. Serger {optional}

5. Chevron Napkin Template {click to open}

Step One:

Make your design! This is the fun part. I used word to create my template. If you would like to use my template, click here to open.

Step Two:

Test Print! I printed out my design on plain paper to see how it would look before I printed on the fabric sheets

Step Three:

Time to print! Put the photo fabric in your printer. If you have a single feed printer, it will probably need to go in fabric up. Tray loaded printers usually take it fabric side down.

Step Four:

Once you’ve printed your design, let the ink dry.  I let mine sit for about an hour.

Step Five:

Peel off the paper backing from the fabric sheets.

Step Six:

Rinse the fabric sheets under running water for 30 seconds. I had to rinse the pink area a little longer.

Step Seven:

Place on a towel until dry. I let mine dry over night.

Step Eight:

Once your sheets are dry you can choose from a number of options on how you would like to finish your napkins. I chose to serge my ends. If you don’t have a serger you can cut the ends and use no-fray to keep the ends from fraying, or you can hem the ends with needle and thread. And there you have it, your very own monogram napkins.
