Rhinestone Notebook

Despite all the technology that surrounds me, I still find myself using notebooks fairly often. The only problem is that many of the notebooks sold in stores look boring and the ones that aren’t cost quite a bit of money. I decided to grab a few supplies and decorate one for myself instead. It took me about an hour and I was very happy with the results. Doing the same with your own choice of supplies can help you have a notebook you definitely won’t mind showing off.
What you’ll need:
- Composition notebook
- Velvet ribbon
- Fabri-tac
- Flat back rhinestones
- Scrapbook paper
- Scissors
- Mod Podge
Step 1. Put a thin coat of Mod Podge all over the front cover of a black and white composition notebook.
Step 2. Place the sheet of scrapbook paper over the cover of the notebook and smooth out all the bubbles. Line it up flush with the border so you’ll only have to later trim three sides. Give it ample time to dry before moving onto the next step.
Step 3. When the cover is completely dry, flip it over and do the same for the back cover. Let it thoroughly dry before moving onto Step 4.
Step 4. Trim off the excess scrapbook paper.
Step 5. Use Fabri-tac to attach a strip of velvet ribbon along each side of the front and back covers.
Step 6. Tie a piece of ribbon into a bow and attach it onto the border of the notebook.
Step 7. Attach flat back rhinestones haphazardly onto the front cover.
