I usually read ‘uplifting’ spiritual books and for fun, I would read Womens’
Magazines as these make for lighter reading and interesting too.

I always have a book going, as well as browsing through magazines….I will often keep books I’ve enjoyed and read them again later, a habit my boyfriend just doesn’t understand! In fact, looking at my bookshelf, I can see I’m going to have to go through it again soon and donate some more books to the local VA Hospital!

Attention: A Poet’s Eye by Donald Revell

A novel: Bad parts of the Bible (hilarious about a kid of a Baptist Preacher and the love and struggles between the two)

and reading through everything by Annie Dillard (again)

plus all my papercraft magazines (greed and lust, can’t get enough of them so glad a lot of them are offered digitally.)

I list more than one because I dip into them all, throughout the day. They are all piled on my kitchen table.

Also, my Bible, constantly dipping into that. I hunger for scripture like some women crave chocolate or shoes.

I’m in the middle of “Talk to the Hand: The Utter Bloody Rudeness of the World Today, or Six Good Reasons to Stay Home and Bolt the Door” by Lynne Truss (of Eats, Shoots and Leaves fame). A funny rant on an exasperating subject. I suggest sitting down to do some serious crafting once you’ve bolted the door.
