I love the smell of dirt. Not just any old dirt, but the musky smell of good, rich, decayed soil. Or the smell of the soil after it has been plowed for planting.

Oh, there are so many smells I LOVE depending on the situation, season, etc… But I guess my absolute favorite smell is Mint (particularly spearmint, but peppermint is good, too).

I really love eucalyptus! Also it’s soothing effects on my painful areas when heated up in droplets on a beanbag that I created for my neck after placing in the microwave…and the sinus opening qualities as I try to sleep with a stuffed nose!

Fresh picked green peanuts, They smell so good. Luckily I live by a peanut mill. lol or fresh cut grass. It’s just as good.

That campfire smell. I once had incense purchased at a fireplace shop that smelled exactly like that. All of the joyful memories and none of the mess of camping!

It’s hard to just pick one, isn’t it? didn’t realize how many smells are part of each and every holiday, and I guess any holiday smell is the best! Since that means Christmas – I guess it has to be cinnamon and nutmeg and christmas cookies and pine trees!!

In the fall and winter, I love the smell of apple scented candles. In the spring, I love the smell of a midwest breeze blowing over wet dirt. In the summer, I love the smell of my daughter after she climbs out of the swimming pool.

One of my very favorite scents is orange blossoms. They are so sweet! I had an orange tree, and loved when it came into bloom in the spring.

So many wonderful smells in this world. But, since I was just baking some pumpkin sweet rolls yesterday, spiced with cardamom, I have to say I took a good, deep whiff of it as I put in it the dough and thought how wonderful it smelled.
