I get lots of inspiration on the internet reading blogs. Have found some great things to make and do! I especially love the ones who take the time to do a tutorial so we can make it ourselves.

My crafting inspiration comes from my MOM! She was always busy making some decoration or gift for someone. She was very giving and gave a lot of craft items away to friends family and even strangers.I picked up from her how fun it is to be busy!I’ve used my talent in Sunday School classes, girl scouts , my daughters classrooms, Even myself giving crafting gifts to my friends and family.I’m always looking for new ideas and items to use in crafting! This is my life’s greatest joy!! To create!

Crafting inspiration is all around us. All you have to do is open yourself up to possibilities. The question is what to do with it. Cross Stitch the beautiful birds that were singing this morning, maybe make a quilt with the colors that you see in the morning sunrise or take pictures of the family doing their daily routine for your scrapbook. So much to do with so little time to do it.

For creating custom horse show clothing, I get most of my inspiration by watching fashion shows, going to horse shows and expos to see what the latest trends are. For color combinations, I get a lot of inspiration from nature.

Truly “inspiring” crafts to me are the projects one makes using a recycled item that would normally be thrown away. It takes REAL imagination to create something from literally “nothing”…turning it into a useful item, rather than having it be added to a landfill. Whether its revamping an old sweater into a new top or pillow or using plastic bag strips to crochet a reusable shopping tote…we all should be “inspired” to reuse and recycle as much as we can.

A lot of my inspiration comes from seeing something I like and wondering “hmmmmm, I could make that!” and then I come up with my own tweaked version. My daughter provides me with ideas and, too, I visit many blogs and websites for creative inspiration. I also like to look at everyday objects (like a Mason Jar) and come up with different uses for them.

Most of my crafting inspiration comes from the internet and magazines. I also watch the few HGTV crafting shows that are left and get inspiration from those. I also adapt a lot of things I see in catalogs to personal creations!

The internet! Starting, every day, with the Think Crafts blog. No kidding – you have great ideas. And every website I look at has links, so one thing leads to another and, well, you should see my bookmarks list. Fantastic resource. Not just seeing what amazing things other people are doing, but learning HOW to do things. But, I also still read books, so I get inspiration from them, too. And sometimes I take classes in my neighborhood from crafty people. And, looking at other people’s ideas has made me look at my own world differently, so I see inspiration all around me. Thanks for all the great ideas on your blog. Keep it up.

Often I pick a random item that would go into the recycle bin and web search the heck out of it. Sometimes I do something I find, sometime I do my own thing and sometimes I just go ahead and recycle it

A lot of mine comes from seeing things that someone else is selling and thinking that I can make that. I love coming up with my own twist on things. The fabric inspires me too. I could get lost in the fabric store for hours just looking at all the fun patterns.

A lot comes from the internet, just seeing the fun things others have made. Vintage magazines and books help a lot too
Sometimes it’s just a matter of seeing something in the store and thinking “I could make that myself”.

I find alot of inspiration from other bloggers. Some of my ideas just pop into my head when I am showering. That is a time that is only for me and no yelling from the kids or Hubby.

I have to pick ONE? If that’s the case, I would say nature. Stepping outside just continually inspires me. If it’s raining, or I don’t feel like going outside, I get my inspiration from the internet and books and magazines.

Many of my inspirations come from 2nd hand stores and garage sales. I have always been a craft hunter. I have years of accumalating all things crafty. I also have this never ending need to be doing something crafty all the time. I like to visit my local craft store for ideas, as well as search the internet. Think Crafts is one of my favorite stopping places.
