I love making scrapbooks of my life, friends, family and adventures to have a keepsake of my memories. But between work, grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, walking my dog, I haven’t been able to carefully choose each piece of paper, embellishment or die cuts for each page. That’s why I adore scrapbook kits!

I recently got the K&Company Scrap Kit Travel 8.5″x 8.5″. I choose this kit because I like the fun 3D stickers like the flowers, flip flops, drink bucket, and sunglasses. I liked the super colorful paper and fun borders too.

I thought this picture of my mom, sister, aunt and I at my cousin’s wedding was great! The bright colors from our summer dresses were a fun thing to emphasize using the photo of the daisies and the bright borders. We live in Oregon and the rest live in North Dakota. It’s always a kick when we all get together. I used Scrapbook Adhesives – 500 clear half size mounting squares. They were easy to use. I was able to put the stickers on the back of the item to be mounted to the page, then I could arrange as needed, and only when I had finalized my layout did I need to take off the blue stickies and stick it to the page.

I thought the various arrows were fun. I didn’t really know what to do with them though. So I used them to point out how cute my parent’s dog is.

I choose these photos from my family’s summer trip to an Oregon campground, Silver Falls State Park. The campground is known for its waterfalls and it was a fun family trip. I was able to take beautiful pictures of the waterfalls and of our family. I just wish I was able to find the photos of the puppies covered in dirt from their hikes they took with us! I liked this kit, it was brightly colored with fun embellishments. I would use a kit like this again.

Writing this blog post makes me eager to scrapbook. And since today is National Scrapbooking Day, I’m off to play with paper!
