My favorite to watch is the skiing free-style aerials. I can’t believe how many things they can do while flying through the air. Then they fall 40 ft and are told to try not to bend their knees! It’s crazy!

My favorite Olympian event is ice dancing. Couples take full advantage of the opportunity to put on a good show. Routines, costumes, and personalities all combine to create a lively fun presentation.

I think that i love the excitement of the luge. when i am watching it it is almost like beig there egde of your seat, nail biting, rush, that the spectators must feel sitting there on the sidelines of the track. It is wild and crazy and scary. I love it.

Skating is my favorite event to watch, especially couples. It’s great to see the presicon these couples have to master! Although this year I seem to be spending more time following ALL the Olympic events. My dear Mother and dear Grandma tell me it is because I’ve matured – Hummm not sure how to take that – I was born the same year that The Beatles release the movie and the album Help!

I like watching the short track speed skating. It takes so much skill to go that fast on that small traffic. And when things don’t go right the crashes are spectacular.(Maybe that’s the athletic trainer in me wanting to see and injury)

All that involve me snuggling up on the sofa with something warm to drink, and snacks and love ones even closer.

I enjoy watching the figure skating but always come back to the curling as a favorite. The ski jumps and snowboarding are fun too.

Snowboarding. Downhill skiing and speed skating are too stressful, and ice dancing is like Icecapades.

My favorite sport to watch is Ice Dancing. The couples just flow over the ice and look so graceful!

Dare I confess that I have not watched a single event from the Winter Olympics except for the speed skating that was on the Colbert Report the other night. Stephen Colbert’s run as the Assistant Sports Psychologist was priceless, along with the playing along that the athletes did. I guess that makes Speed Skating my favorite…

  21. Jill :

    speed skating – love Apollo!

  22. Candace :

Oddly enough, my favorite Winter Olympic sport is Curling. It’s a silly sport, but in a good way. Like Monty Python. Okay I admit, I may not understand all the scoring rules, but that doesn’t keep my blood pressure from rising when one of those stocky German women is feverishly yelling at a giant rock sliding down the ice at about the pace of a glacier. And one game lasts about 2 and a half hours so you’re set for the whole night, whether your husband likes it or not.

I use to watch figure skating a lot and then got bored with the Olympics for several years. Till I saw Curling. Love it! I always try to catch that event.

    Anything dealing with figure skating!

I don’t think I could single any one out… I like them all. All of the athletes are amazing and I’m just really in awe of their abilities. I do have to add that I saw a recap of a few ski events that broke it down and showed the physics of the event and what makes one skier faster than another and the forces they are undergoing and what the best path is or broke down the twists and turns they did… I enjoyed watching that just about as much as the real events.

I’ve gotten into the winter Olympics more than I ever had this year, and I can’t pick one favorite. So top 3: Mogul skiing, snowboarding and curling.

Once I finally took the time to understand the basic rules of curling, it was much more interesting! Count me as a curling fan!

  29. Jessica Ubel :

Half-pipe FOR SURE. Ski Ariels are also pretty awesome. I like to watch people do things that I WISH I could do, but don’t have the guts to do them! Living vicariously and all . . .

  32. Kim McMichael :

I love the figure skating. It’s art and athleticism at the same time. How do those men manage to skate around with their partner held up in the air, and how do their partners have the guts to allow them to do it?

  33. Heather :

    Date: February 26, 2010 @ 5:17 PM

This Olympics it has been Curling…I never watched it much before, but I sure got into it this year!

I love the snowboarding, especially the half-pipe events. My son and his friends are snowboarders (although not to that degree), so I like to watch the sports they are into, so I can stay up on what they are doing.

Sitting around the fire with some mulled wine and lovely friends…oh sorry that’s not a sport is it…well skating would come in second!

Don’t have money to buy a building? Do not worry, just because it’s available to receive the loans to resolve such problems. Hence take a sba loan to buy everything you require.
