My favorite is the small and cheap Pyramid I bought in Germany my second trip in 2002. My grandmother is German and this reminds me of my heritage as well as a fabulous trip with friends. I smile each time I look at it.

My handmade snowman. I was playing around in making one and I like how it turned out. He is my favorite little
    snowman.

But I do also like anything handmade.

My favorite is a faux frasier fir garland wrapped in white Christmas lights. What makes it special is that every 12 inches or so it has a small figurine of a Looney Toons character holding a small drum, and when you turn on the lights of the garland, the figurines become animated to start “drumming” and music plays out of a small hidden speaker! It is almost tacky in its flashy lit=up musical glory, but it’s adorable and puts everybody in the festive spirit. It has been in my family for 16 years now, and putting it up was my absolute favorite part of Christmas as a child- it is definitely still one of my favorites. I will keep it forever, even after it stops functioning! :)

My favorite Christmas decoration is this ceramic santa that we’ve had for years! It’s in the background of every photo taken at Christmas. It’s been in my family longer than I have!

There are so many! I love them all! Hello Kitty, the ones my kids and grand kids made, cat ones but I think the one I like best is one I got a few years ago of Noah’s Ark. It isn’t very big but is quite detailed. I got it from a mail order firm and it was very inexpensive but is very dear to me.

My favorite decorations are hand made ornaments I remember when I was young we made it all no store bought stuff except for those shiny old icicles we use to stand back and throw on the tree only to come back and see that mom had straightened them out. LOL

Way back when in the ’80 in the midwest there was a store, Dayton’s that put out their own brand of stuffed animals- Santa Bears. Our family has each ‘edition’. The original Santa Bear, his wife Missy Bear, along with a chef, firefighter, magician, and others I can’t remember off the top of my head. We’ve had the Santa Bears forever, and for some reason it just doesn’t feel like Christmas without them. I even steal one from my parents house to bring to mine, just so my own home as the ‘feel’ of Christmas. They even created a made-for-tv holiday movie that my aunt last year had transferred to a DVD for my sister and I.

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Ohh, it’s a toss up. I really love this understated glass bead berry garland I found this year but I will always love the baby’s first Christmas ornament from MY first Christmas. Every year I look forward to hanging it on the tree.

My Favorite is the three little mice from ENESCO that I bought off of Ebay a few years ago. they are exactly like the mice my grandma had while I was growing up. One has a present, the other has a Christmas tree and the last is carrying santa’s bag! They are very cute and soo vintage!!

Snowflakes in the windows and on the ground outside as it is just not Christmas without snow. I also enjoy decorating the Christmas tree because each one of the Christmas ornaments brings back a special memory from travels or as a gift from family and friends. Spending time with family and friends is what creates the special holiday magic that we all remember.

This one is easy. I have very fond memories of the swag boughs that we hung on our door and fireplace during the winter season. The smells and tastes of my childhood are brought flooding back when I get the scent of pine. I’m not talking the fake plastic evergreen sprigs you get at the store. I’m talking about the live, aromatic, needle-dropping, green pine branches. We would go to the woods near my grandparents and cut and tie our own. How fun for a kid, and aren’t we all really kids at Christmas. Thanks for spurring that memory. Merry Christmas everyone!

I have two – first an Italian nativity set my mother inherited from my grandmother. It’s well crafted and just beautiful. It makes me happy to have it out every year. Second is a Dicken’s village that was given to me by my uncle after my aunt passed away from a long battle with ovarian cancer. She cherished her village and took great joy in putting it up every year. My uncle gave several family members pieces, so when I put it up it reminds me of my beautiful aunt.

So hard to decide… I really love the angel that sits on top of our tree. She’s timeless and lovely and was a gift from my stepsister when JP and I were first married. Then again, there’s nothing better than the decorations the kids have made and brought home through the years. So many have pictures that illustrate how much they’ve grown and others show how their artistic tastes and talents have changed. I love them all!

My most favorite holiday decoration is the Nativity. It depicts the true meaning of Christmas, and reminds us that Christmas is the celebration of the birth of baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph, and the 3 wise men. I also like to see the North Star shining above the manger. It’s such a beautiful, peaceful, and serene scene. God bless the Holiday Season!

This is a hard one. My favorite holiday decoration would have to be our Christmas tree. We always have a real one- the past three years we’ve cut one from our own yard- my husband planted blue spruce trees years ago for this purpose- we decorate it with little white lights and tons of ornaments. It’s very eclectic. I’ve been buying my kids an ornament every year so that when they move out and have their own places, they can take their ornaments with them. They’re getting close to that leaving the nest stage, so our tree has lots of their ornaments. A few years ago I realized our tree would be practically naked once they finally do take their ornaments, so I started a tradition of getting a Lenox snowflake every year for me, so there are a few of those. There are ornaments made by my kids, my grandma, my mom, my aunt, and me. There’s an old cotton batting Santa that belonged to my husband’s dad when he was little. Our tree has beautiful one of a kind objects and also tacky cheap store bought ornaments. It’s very sentimental and beautiful, and I love it.

My Christmas village. Most of the pieces have an important memory. Family outings, vacations and childhood surrounds. they are on display in a special spot all year long. but are only lit at during the Christmas season.

My favorite Christmas decoration is a tie between my mother’s favorite angel. We named her Monique for some reason, but she is a beautiful mahogany skin tone, long curly black hair, wearing a burgundy and gold dress( because we decorate the tree in burgundy and gold every year) with leopard print trim around the bottom of the dress. Another favorite Christmas decoration is our wreath. Its homemade so it is extra special! We have 2 that switch out, one with green and gold and another unconventional one with peacock & hot pink feathers.
