I think my favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. This is the best time for all of my family to get together without the stress of having to buy presents. The only stress of Thanksgiving is figuring out when to stop eating! lol

My Favorite holiday is Christmas, it is a time for us to give a part of ourselves to others by making them gifts that they will have forever It is about Jesus’ birth and sharing him with others

It’s hard to pick just one. I enjoy many of the holidays for a variety of reasons.

New Year’s, of course, brings the promise of renewal. Martin Luther King Jr. Day reminds me of how fortunate I am to have had him and others like him fight for basic freedoms. Indigenous People’s Day to honor my ancestors, the First Peoples of the Americas. Halloween offers the family the challenge to make themselves over. :) Yesterday’s Harvest meal brought family and friends together and in typical “can’t choose just one” fashion, I made mashed potatoes, yams and sweet potatoes with pears and cranberries so each one had their favorite. Holidays give me a chance to follow traditions passed down or create new ones.

I look forward to all the holidays because these are the times to connect and reconnect with people.

My favorite holiday is always the one we happen to be celebrating. It takes me a few days to switch gears once the holiday is over- for example, I really like the warm fall colors of Thanksgiving and could enjoy them for another week or so, but once I get my Christmas decorations out, I will be ready for red and green and white and gold and silver. The hardest transition for me is always when Christmas is over.

I have many favorites. Christmas and Easter because of my faith. St. Patrick’s Day because I love all things Celtic. But the most favorite would be family birthdays because even though we did not have a lot of money, my mom made them so very special.

I think Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It allows everyone that is so busy with life stop and realize all we have to be thankfull for.

I know I’m too late on this (since it’s after midnight on Friday), but I didn’t find this blog until right now. My favorite holiday is Halloween. I know it isn’t a “real” holiday like Thanksgiving or Christmas - but it’s still a fun day…you get to celebrate and you don’t “have” to spend it with family…which can be a good thing! lol

My favorite holiday has always been Easter. My Grandpa would always give me a run for my money hiding the eggs. We would go hand-in-hand to the front yard and search for them. He could always keep a straight face. He challenged me and that is always a great thing–to have the mind challenged.
