Design a simple label on the computer, reverse print it on very thin paper, then glue it upside-down on a small piece of muslin.

My favorite handmade gift idea, is just to make a nice handmade journal for a fellow crafter. It's simple, and easy to make wheather you do a hand bound book, a spiral notebook, or a simple book bound with pretty ribbons and fibers.
You can decorate the cover, and even make a nice journal out of paper bags! So much versatility. Journals are great, because most everyone uses them.

I have found the most joy in taking several of my scrap booking papers, embellishments, stickers, glue, decorative scissors, ribbon, anything especially to do with holidays to church and I let the children decorate old Cd's that I have brought and drilled a hole in them, then they put ribbon through the holes and give to their favorite people to hang on their Christmas tree. Its amazing how they can decorate them and the boys and girls love it. I even try and throw in a little cameo paper for the boys!

I would love to make a jewelry piece, like a necklace or bracelt and personalize it with pictures, names, initials or birthstone colors.

My favorite is plain glass plates, put a photo in the middle on the bottom and decorate the bottom with fabric and scrapbooking words and texts.

Then can be personalized to each person on your list!

Thanks a lot for the idea. ;)

My favorite handmade gift (after I made the 1st one) is a personalized quilt. I wanted one for my son and ended up making a rag quilt out of dark plaids and he really liked it. I'll definitely be making more.

My favorite homemade gift is quilts made just for the person receiving them. Sometimes I make mini-quilts that are great as wallhangings, others are full size for a wrap or on a bed. Each gets a personalized tag as well. Design a simple label on the computer, reverse print it on very thin paper, then glue it upside-down on a small piece of muslin. When dry carefully rub off the paper to expose the label and seal it with a permanent fabric glue and also glue it to a corner of the quilt.

My favorite homemade gift is photo tiles that you make with tissue paper. You print out black and white pictures onto white tissues paper through your printer and then cut them to size of a tile...Decoupage them on a ceramic tile, cute a felt piece to fit the back ...cut a coordinating ribbon to slip into between the felt and tile as a hanger and then glue ribbon and felt piece on back...i also stamp made with love by Judy wright on a piece of paper and cut that out with decorative scissors and glue that to the back on the felt....they make awesome personable gifts...
